When the roads don't always take you where you want to go
when the lands always seem so far away
look to me for guidance, look to me for strength
I am the one who shine's down from above
I am the moon, the stars and the sky,
I am your sun your earth your air

You are my child for whom I adore, you are my air my earth my sky, you are my stars and my moon, you are my world as precious to me as the air I breath

My one true wish for eternity to hold you, to love you to comfort and to share you, with whom one day you will find and make an eternity just like mine

I wrote this poem for my three precious little girls I do hope you all enjoy it.

Kerri

Kerri, welcome to Passions! Your daughters will treasure this as they grow older...and until then, I hope you continue to read and post here at Passions. Perhaps your daughters will take after you, and join us when the time is right to write! Please check your e-mail for a special message!

I so enjoyed the tenderness, the lovingness of this piece.

In the first stanza, I had a little difficulty with following as the line breaks seemed to break us the flow. What about:

When the roads don't always take you w(h)ere you want to go
when the lands always seem so far away
look to me for guidance, look to me for strength
I am the one who shine's down from above
I am the moon, the stars and the sky,
I am your sun your earth your air

Your darling daughters are lucky to have a mother who openly shares her love with them. As they see you enjoying poetry so shall they.
Welcome to the family.

It is a beautiful tribute to your three.

Thank you all very much for your kind words.
Passions is like a second home to me now, and I look forward to opening my heart as I read all of your wonderful poems.

Vas I do believe you are right about the line breaks, and I thank you for pointing it out to me.

Be well everyone
