Tonight, just for just one last time
I want to believe our love is fine
So please don’t turn on that light
Leave my tears the cloak of night
I’ll shield my heart from the pain
Until I’m on my own once again

Don’t look any deeper than my kiss
Pretend that it’s my love you’ll miss
Call back the words of your goodbye
Just for now only hear my soft sigh
Take back my soul into your flame
We’ll play again lovers fiery game

Tonight as I wrap you all around me
Pretending that here you want to be
I’ll not taste the honey of your lies
Instead my soul will evoke your sighs
I’ll dream that you still want all this
To feel the wonder of my flames kiss

Don’t let me see your goodbye eyes
Or see our fires flicker before it dies
Our lips will meet this one last time

Oh, sis......I haven't been able to post for awhile, and I have missed reading your thoughts, and this one is so poignant....how many times I have left my tears in the veils of darkness....

Just one last time - Oh that would have been wonderful but the pain would still be there afterwards. I really enjoyed this one and I am glad I stopped by.
