Radio down low…….then that song comes on
You know it, the one that triggers your heart
Puts it racing in reverse
Back to times with old friends
Younger days………….crazy days
Not a care in the world……except for what we'd be doing
And who'd be there
Innocence at the verge of enlightenment
So you turn it up………..loud
And for the length of the song
………….You're gone……….
And as reality seeps back in
The smile stays on your lips
And the tear that slips quietly down your cheek
Gets carefully brushed away.

(smiles) Ooohhhhhhh...this is soooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I love it! (sigh) I don't know why, but sometimes I hear old songs on the radio that came out before I was born, and I get nostalgia then too! (giggles) This is soooooo wonderful, sweet friend, you know what they say...make new friends, keep the old, one is silver, the other gold!"
