What's up Passions....after a brief hiatus, I'm back..I know that I've been feeding y'll a little too much food for thought so, I'll do something a little different today..enjoy!

In my past life, I was a disciple of Christ,
that stuck by him, when he was scrutinized
and cried at his feet, when he was crucified.
I silently promised God that I would abide,
by his words and keep reading the Book of Life
and keep spreading the knowledge to everyone
til his immortal words, reach the old and young,
until the last words, fades from my tongue,
until the last breath, escapes from my lungs.
When I finally died and went to heaven,
I had a glorious talk with God and Christ,
as they thanked me and rewarded me with the prize,
of coming back to earth, to live a second life
as this new life of mine,
is quite different for me
because now, I'm considered to be,
an object of immobility
as, I'm no longer a human being,
thanks to God's overseeing
as, I can now see,
how it is, to be a tree!
That's right, I'm a tree,
in the midst of crisp greenery,
with marigolds and lillies,
as my beautiful body and leaves,
is quite a sight to see
and believe me, I'm quite happy
because, I've been given,
another chance to live,
another chance to give,
another chance to smell the flowers, the fresh air,
and to transcend like the seasons of the year,
another chance to feel the rain and sunshine,
another chance to grow old with time
because, I'm the tree of life
and I'll never be chopped down
because, when tree-choppers see,
the imprint of God on me,
they instantly say,
"don't chop down that tree!"
as my existance on this earth,
will certainly reign for an eternity,
as the fires of life, relentlessly burns in me.
As I happily hummed a sweet melody,
I silently thanked my fathers o' heavenly,
for touching, loving, and blessing me.

Sir Dogg...The fact that you are now a tree I find most ironic given you name but that is another matter. I enjoyed your thoughts on this one... I'm not much of a religious person... but still, I liked the feeling you presented and I give you my thanks for sharing. May you live as peacefully as any tree can.

Nate, you did it again! From man to tree sounds wonderful to me. It takes much longer and much more care to make a tree. And I think a tree can give a lot more comfort than many men. Love your tree! ME
