I Heard You Say My Name |

I heard you say my name today And felt my heart suddenly sway I felt sick and my mind lost hope For until that time I could cope But then I heard you speak me And all my defenses go and flee Your lips kissed my name today It was like you’d not been away I could see my heart run to you And that’s what I wanted to do It would have been easy to yield For my soul has lost hopes shield I felt your eyes caress me today And I heard my soul softly say Come back to my loving heart Why not try a brand new start My mind screamed in despair For it recalls we’ve been there Your heart called out to me today And I couldn’t just turn it away I’m so used to answering your call My heart replies instantly it’s a fool To walk into a trap where I’ve been Is foolish it should be a mortal sin I felt the summons of you today And I nearly gave myself away I could feel my heart giving in To be with you, feel you within But I’m a treasure not just dross I’m my gift, and this is your loss Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

Marsha~ I felt you reach into the depth of you for this one. Wonderful writing and I just love the format. What a thought-provoking read. Kari love, thank you as always I will write as long as there is a light in my eyes and a beat in my heart. And I will keep stretching as long as my Kari gives me stretching exercises. (Of course that is assuming that you can get me to work harder dear heart.)
