Upon a bed daisies I lay my sleep filled head There in the dark of night The pull of sleep I must fight For I must be awake for the kiss of life.. The stars of the universe watch from above The silence broke by the a lone mourning dove Thoughts of the past, future, and today. With the clouds they simply slip away.. Do they feel the kiss of life?? As I watched the east from a far Awaiting the appearance of a star I see a spiral of hues and feel upon my cracked lips the awaking of dew.. The kiss is coming... Then I close my eyes and begin to feel Upon my lips a slow melting warmth does steal I open my eyes to the sun's showering rays And on my lips a promise of better days.. |

Voiceless Oh my goodness... This was simply excellent. The visual I got from this one with the dew, the sun, and finally the kiss was just wonderful. Marge Tindal wrote earlier about a "Spring Fling." Between the both of you, I tempted to stay up all night to get my "Kiss of Life" & have my "Spring Fling" all at the same time. Awesome write. Beautiful. Garfield |

Simply awesome write and the imagery was beautiful to say the least. I love the way you express yourself in this piece and I find much comfort in your words here. In my library with this one. |

A very positive and enchanting work! I enjoyed the warmth of the anticipation! Good work!! The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |
