take me back take me back to where dandelions blow on the breath of an innocent child where whispering winds wave wistfully to summers soon gone by take me back to where daffodils grow in those fields of kelly green where the mantis pray in knee high grass that winter’s never seen take me back to where fireflies glow among the maple and oak where children hear the cricket’s song mixed with the bullfrog’s croak take me back, please take me back ‘til then my soul will run wild take me back to where dandelions blow on the breath of an innocent child "HEY, DON'T THROW THAT AWAY, I MIGHT NEED IT SOMEDAY!!!" Aww...this is beautiful! I love poems with nature involved. I loved this one! Sauni Sauni :) Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps |

Mike what a beautiful serene flow to this poem of reflections...excellent writing...I really enjoyed the mood setting and the word pictures! The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |

How in the world did you know I was thinking of dandelions yesterday? The entire poem moved me so much. Thank you. "When red-haired girls scamper like roses over the rain-green grass, and the sun drips honey." Laurie Lee |
