In this world I search and search
Not knowing what I'm looking for
I only know that when I find it
I'll cleave to it forevermore

In this world both here and there
I seek the perfect mate for me
I do not know where he may lie
But know that he can set me free

In every way I'm looking, looking
For the great love to set me free
And nothing less will I be brooking
A life-time with my love in glee

I seek love out in there and here
Finding not what I am looking for
Promises and passionate embrace
Replace the love I knew before

Yet still my feet move on and on
Looking for love in crannies nooks
I cannot face the world alone
I look for love in streams and brooks

I search; my heart is bleeding sore
Where is love? That I will know
a heart o'erflowing with my desire
Please show me love before I go

Where is love? Did I not see?
It beats deep in the heart of me
My love at rest that hides from me
Still has the power to set me free

Kethry dear heart always you write incredibly wonderfully pieces. This is another of your utter best.

Now you stop surpassing yourself! This is sooooo fabulous, and yes of course I love it.
Take care love as always

This feels so much like a feeling, request of my own. Yet I did love and was loved and am loved now by the best love in all creation and I love back. So why should I still be pining. So much a child and perhaps still too narcissistic, though I like to think I'm not. Love is a wonderful gift and there are so many kinds of love. I pray that you find what you're seeking, to experience it true and profound. Beautiful prayer poem. Though I went off on a tangent, perhaps, I enjoyed the read.

Thanks everyone.

Marsha, you know if I took love from your example, I would ever feel loved.

Kathleen, I hope so.

Cerenity, thank you for your thoughts, I'm glad you believe others could relate.

Sy, with my love luck, when my ship comes in I'll be at the airport. *laughs*

VAS, yes it is a prayer, poem. I believe in parayer though I don't believe in love, except for amazing love.

It will show up when you least expect it just as most good things do. The hard part is being prepared for it when it knocks. Wonderful write from you.

Mark,
well I must have had at some point in my life. I just don't remember and I really wouldn't know what to look for anymore. Besdis I'm so desperate and easily confused it would be too easy to accept any substitute. Thanks for the optimism.

Moondust,
Well I hope so too. Thank you for responding

Kethry - I'm sure that if you walked down by the pond, that is in the park, you know - the one with all those beautiful trees, that you will find what you seek. Best to you.

Marge, lol at you, thanks you. I tried gates 3 through to 13, no love only frustrated people.

Bill thanks,
I went to the park and only saw butterflies and you know how I feel about them. Oh I did see my reflection but as my name is not Narcissus it was not much help, besides the monkey staring back at me was not too impressed.

Sven is this like, "I love myself I think I'm grand
I go to the theatre and hold my hand..." If so I already have a red face from all the slapping.

SEA, for your words of hope, I thank you

DreamLess, Incredible? I don't think so, but thank you for saying it.

You will find that love I"m sure picnic partner....but without the search for love what do we have?....Nothing! That's what makes the search so mystic and magnetic...oh I l know it doesn't go smooth with it's trials and tribulations like most searches but it's always there as a wonderful motivator...this is a very heartwarming write I really enjoyed it Keth!

This is a wonderful poem, Keth... and with all the love in your heart, I hope a recipient and reciprocation are only moments away and zeroing in on you rapidly. *S* After all, bad things seem to attack us without warning... why shouldn't love sneak up on us when we're not expecting it? *S* Great write!

yes a wonderful Poem I can't add too much although I wanted to tell you:

"I love myself I think I'm grand
I go to the theatre and hold my hand..."

I have learned recently to go to the movies alone...and I even go to the late movies...don't tell anyone, sometimes I even fall asleep through part of them
(well only if they are boring and if no one is talking near me)..but I am out and about and I am with the best company I know...
