I am creativity.
I am creativity today.
At least for today.

I am not only the idea,
but the events that led up to the idea.
And I can close my eyes and the world
just seems to go away
long enough for me to write what I have to say.

I am creativity.
I am creativity today.
Well, at least for today.

I’d like to for tonight,
but that might be too much to ask.
So I’ll just be happy with what I have right now.
I’m painting with words,
and thoughts are the palette.

I’m adding highlights with my own blood.
I’m placing shadows with what I see.
And I’m replacing parts of myself I don’t understand
with authority.

I am creativity.
I am creativity for today.
Well, at least for today.

I could write a novel or poem
or song or play.
I could rival the sun.
And jewels to be plucked from words
that have been lost?
I’ll reform them into a poem
that makes everyone clutch themselves.
And places we don’t touch ourselves.

And then I’ll write about the moon.
And I’ll write about the sky
and I’ll write about the earth
and I’ll write about the people on the earth
and I’ll write about what they build,
what they pray, what they say,
what they live, what they drive,
what they hurt.

And I’ll write about the mirror that they made.
I suppose the man’s name is Bob who sits at the end of the assembly line
making sure the glue is correct, the screws are in right.
So that I have this mirror to even look at;
though my eyes are closed, I can still picture it.
And I’ll write about all the other people
who’ve pictured mirrors in their minds.

Because I am creativity.
I am creativity today.
Well, for today anyway.

Hi Mike,

You kept my attention in your creativity today and that is whats it all about giving someone something to think about, and there is the no bump policy now, your poem will not bump back up if you yourself reply to it only others reply will bump it,, others will know that you have responded to replys on your work though by a new colored folder Lt. gray.
