Planting Pretty Posies Waking up to the moon Still in the sky Get hubby ready for work, Give him kisses goodbye Put on some old cloths Tattered and torn Got to start early on such a Beautiful spring morn Have a cup of coffee and Toast well done Watching darkness turn to day With rising of the sun Having put together in my mind The job at hand Going to try and make something of This desolate land Two seasons have passed as I look At my garden and just sigh Gophers took up residence and Weeds are up to my thighs Gathering up all of the tools That I will need Going to get rid of all those Nasty weeds The suns mid heaven and there's still so much to do This garden of mine I swear will Never be through I’ve pulled the weeds and Spread the seeds Now it’s up to Natures Loving touch To give this garden what I’ve wanted so much The rains are coming in nick of time Washing away all soot and grime Hopefully with the staying of the sun And maybe some luck, Passers-by will be awestruck Delighting their senses and keeping Them enthralled All of my hard work will be Worthwhile after all By, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. my sister Cerenity...I should have known you too were a gardener....it's worth it, isn't it. What a lovely title too....your writing has grown so much that I believe that everything plant does too. |
