Winging Into Spring Virgnia Salter You should see the sunshine you should feel the cheer as it plays with my caffeine that I’ve consumed in here. Oh, yes, I’m still inside for the sunlight’s quite deceiving the frost is barely gone the frigid stems are weaving. The flag is at its billow the birds are in a feast if I should venture near the door they’d think I was a beast. The flock of finches are many they’re thanking me their host but if I should want to watch them I must be as a post. I wish for you the kind of joy that’s flowing through my veins accelerated speedily with brewed up coffee grains. You’d not believe the numbers there’s one at every rung and some waiting in the wings until the first one’s find they’re done. © February 24, 2001 |

VAS - a tweety bird for you, tweet. And a fine writing, but I sure could use that cup of coffee. BC |

Hey, Bill, thanks for reading. I was thinking no one was going to see this as it was getting shoved way down the forum. I appreciate your doing so and taking time to comment. btw, I drained the pot, but if you come by, I'd could make some fresh. |

Awesome....I love the poem and the graphic. Coffee doesn't sound bad, well, maybe not that bad anyway. |
