This is from a challenge phrase by SEA. I've written before of the 'Immortal Clan' a band of immortal women who have children with mortal men, then must kill them (like a black widow spider). In my poems, the mortals hunt the Immortal women - as no man can resist their tempting beauty.

Mystic Moons, guide my way

Tara, child of Immortal clan
gained full her seven years
smiles for all, this red-haired child
rarely succumbed to childish tears

A secret game of hide and seek
only played by mortal kin
though hidden now, Tara found
a lesson learned for her sin

Lost within the forest deep
fear her guide this night
she kept a silent vow that she
would show no childish fright

Immortal girls are early taught
the ways of clannish lore
mortal man will hunt them down
to even ancient score

So she began her childish chant
“Mystic Moons, guide my way
keep me safe Immortal Ones
to live another day”

As dawn’s first rays embraced
Immortal child’s fiery head
Tara found her safe haven
and victory from her dread

I like this very much, it has a very interesting theme, very unusual.

"When red-haired girls scamper like roses over the rain-green grass,
and the sun drips honey."

And I will say it out loud...this great, but just a taste....we want more, don't we? (hear the applause?)

I wanna know what happens to Tara.

MORE!!!! (ouch...serenity just burned her fingers holding aloft her bic lighter)
