The Ocean

The waves are beating against the shore
Showing no mercy they come back for more
One after one they tear things apart
Like the battles bestowed upon my heart

The wind is blowing the sand in the air
In all directions it has not a care
Peaceful and pure it blows through the night
Wish I felt the wind blowing in my life

The moon shines down from the starry sky
And reveals the mysteries the ocean hides
Things that no person will ever see
Like the secrets I keep hidden in me

Welcome! I love poems about the ocean. Well expressed!

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

Excellent poem, a grand entrance for sure. However, you might wish to feel a gentle breeze before a big wind. Wouldn't want you knocked off your feet just as you begin.

Welcome!!!
