I see things dying in the rain –- the flower trying to hold itself from crumbling to petals; soaked to shine, the bird with the broken wing underneath the tree’s shadow. Rain is the sound of covered ghosts, the condensed windowpane view of a muddy, pooled, flooded place. The ripples are sine waves needing clarification. If you could hear them, they’d say “don’t get soaked!” The world seems so solemn and alone when you’re with people in the market, trying to cover a stormhole; or, conversely, with a hot mug and a song to nurse the warm wound in your heart from the cold. |

Hi Mike, I loved the imagery in this piece, the circular movement of the pools speaking out to one "lonely" in the middle of "everyone" yet no one, may the music play friendly sounds, Love, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. We have to be reminded that He exist!" (Writer Unknown) |

The rain taketh, but remember the sun will bring it back. I've never felt more alone, than in a room full of people. I always admit when reading your poetry I don't always get your drift. Yet you always make me think. |

Hey, everyone. Thanks for reading and for enjoying. And I realize my poetry can be difficult, but no apologizes. I feel honored that my words can make people think about things they might not otherwise. And I'm glad to share. Mike |
