In the Moonlight, Shadow's Dancing Haiku 'Neath beams of moonlight Shadows dance each step in hold Blending images. Tanka Bathed in forever The moonlight dances once more Unfolding love's dreams In the embracing steps, edged By shadows of memory. Quintain, English 'Neath the glow of the moon Dreams have been held, forever in dance, Embraced in thought, when eyes of June Shall see memories made, perchance To be captured in night of shadow's romance. Cinquain 'Neath moon Shadow's dancing Embracing of dreams held Capturing memories cast off, In glow In the Moonlight, Shadow's Dancing....Sonnet Walking on balcony of heaven's view Bathed in forever all thoughts of love true. Images blending in dreams to unfold Embraced between boundaries, casting it's hold. In the moonlight, shadow's dancing, once more Retracing steps, as they glide 'cross the floor. Each memory cherished, edged in delight Each step in hold, the moons cast off's of night. Circling the spheres, in the ocean of space The night's for living 'neath beams that embrace. Dreams in suspension, 'til light fades it's stay Elusive, moon's shadows, fall back come the day. Idling minds, will dream presence of two Dance of the shadows, in moonlight of you. ~Wynter..too wide awake... Some great late night wide awake poetry here Wynter....love all the styles and I hope you do end up dancing in the moonlight with a new love...this is all very beautiful! The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |

Wynter - you are very talented, not only with the way you write words, but with you're diversity. And, open up those eyes, it's morning. BC |

Sorry you had trouble sleeping, Wynter, but you did do beautifully with this, and I'm impressed. I'm going to save this, and may give it a shot myself. Now get some rest! To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |

What a great excerise! I believe the Tanka and the Sonnet are my favorites. Bravo on your 5 examples of different forms over the same subject. Really enjoyed the read! |

Kathleen thank you I tried that goodnight...it didn't work so well..yet AT thank you...I just write, what comes out I never know. *w Kethry thank you, I enjoyed writing them and I had to do something with my time...what better way at that time of morning then to write.. Bill Morning you say? Every day and night are the same to me right now...my body clock isn't timed correctly Marilyn thank you, sometimes on other sites a challenge will be to take the same poem and create more then one form from it...the easiest way is to do the Sonnet first and work from there. g I guess Sven in a posting said the Moonlight Shadow Dancing was an old challenge but I saw everyone responding and thought I would use the theme..the 5 poems were just something to do to challenge myself as I saw Professor Gloom had completed 5 thanks Poeminister THANK YOU SEA you already write so well...I enjoy everything you post... a cinquain is made up of 5 lines with these syllables each line 2 4 6 8 2 that is it..very easy to do VAS Virginia, I am glad you enjoyed them, thank you for reading Amy I love the Sonnets too, they are my favorite to write. thank you Marge oh my...insomnia is my middle name at the moment even though I am trying to get more sleep three hours at a clip is all I am getting...*s thank you, sometimes I wonder where the words come from...especially the next day when I reread what I posted.
