Memories I saw a shooting star last night Almost magical was the sight It streaked across the dark sky Watching I heaved a soft sigh Seeing it streaking up there I felt some old memories stir Buried deep but still inside Still there they quietly hide I passed by our tree last week Almost it made me feel weak It stands there still calling me Asking me what it is I can see I felt the memories inside cry The taste of you made me sigh There buried inside they wait Knowingly they say it’s too late I dreamed my wish came true Almost I believed it did too You were waiting here for me My heart was beating furiously Then I felt the memories fade My soul was in sorrow’s shade Inside my heart I still hear you Memories only painted in blue Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

Marsha, my memories are blue, too. And still so impossible to forget. Wonderful poem. Sandra |
