Temptations Survival

I'm always saying how NOW is the time
To pull myself off, stopping all rhyme.
Yet here I am, day after day.
Never say never, addicted this way.

My eyes are all bloodshot, and heavily weighed
As the lids pull me down, wanting sleep, as they shade.
Sighing, I promise tomorrow's the date.
I will, yes I can, gotta try, won't negate.

Never say never, but you all know it's true
Temptations survival... connecting to blue.

Don't NEGATE this earthly pleasure of sharing your poetry with your pip friends, but do get some rest, we want you well, so that you can continue to write, read and comment. PLEASE DON'T KEEP OUT!

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.
