Romance Revisited I hadn’t even thought of love as anything but a dream That others have and some find true Until one day I heard from you Out of nowhere, out of a distant memory You said that you had thought of me Often In the passing years. I didn’t pay much mind at first…busy with my life We spoke, we talked a time or two And slowly I saw the truth Out of nowhere, out of a distant memory Yours was the soul meant for me To know For all the coming years. I know now that I live in your love, as you live on in mine Though we hold each other in silence We have known the hearts pure kindness Out of nowhere, out of a distant memory You are the one who rests with me Here In the unnumbered years. (Thank you SEA-----for giving me the idea, motivation and strength…to remember. It was worth the pain, but then love always is.) [This message has been edited by JLR (edited 02-23-2001).] |

To face your pain is part of the healing process, and it takes courage. Lovely poem! A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |

VEry lovely! It's like a fantastic movie theme with love being lovlier the second time around. I would so like to find this, but I just don't go looking. Heh-heh, I guess I want it to find me sitting here. |

Yes, real true love is worth all of the pain, all of it. Love is worth any price but it is so priceless! "When red-haired girls scamper like roses over the rain-green grass, and the sun drips honey." Laurie Lee |

Oh beautiful.......left me with many reflections as I contemplate love. The ending of this, I do think, is what I loved most of all. Love is a gift. "The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new. Socrates |
