Listening to every heart

dawn's slender fingers
slipping in to wake the day
bring about a sigh

in a beam of light
we get by and through our day
'till the set of sun

in the cool of night
by our candlelight we write
searching beam of light

And your night must be lit by the flicker
of a thousand candles ...

I have to agree that in the cool of night many of us write...these are very well written Sunshine...I really enjoyed!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.
