Moon Dance

In the moonlit nights when the light is soft
And angels on wings sing their songs aloft
The moon looks down and calls to the night
Welcomes to its velvet world the starlight
Its only if you look very closely that you see
The moonlight is dancing its very sprightly

You think the moon just casts her quiet glow
That she doesn’t dance, that’s all you know
She has her own steps, this is her own dance
I advise you to watch her if you get a chance
She doesn’t do a waltz and it’s not a gavotte
If I had to describe it I’d say it’s a foxtrot

She flits and she flutters and glides with style
I love to see it for she really makes me smile
So if you get the chance to watch this sight
I’m sure you’ll enjoy the dance of moonlight
You won’t always witness this moon dance
But sometimes you might just catch a glance

Marsha

This is delightful Marsha ...love the weave and the mood...good show dear English Nurse!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.
