This Feeling |

This feeling overtakes me Surrendering...I finally just let it wash over me As rain washes over a bare desert-- That is dry and parched...in need of a long cool drink I can feel your eyes on me Staring through to my soul My heart beats faster As the river of Love finds my heart again Love? Is that what this is... This strange yet familar feeling I sigh at the very sound of your name Closing my eyes, and just breathing-- Yet it is too soon to know I feel like I am falling...falling downward Knowing that if I do You'll be there with your usual smile to catch me The type of smile That radiates from within the soul Spreading outwards reaching all corners A smile that has captured my soul As I too now smile Knowing our paths collided for a reason That reason is yet to be known I just let this feeling take me where it will-- Amy M. I enjoy poems that seem to incorporate the scripture of the Bible...I was just reading a psalm today, that my forgivness is like a parched desert so this poem is the end of a poetry all around day. So nice the way you also bring the earth landscape into the outside of a person and the inside. |
