Do you hear the whisper,
...soft whisper of the dawn,
As earth awakens to new day,
...night's blanket soon begone?

Waking meadows, morning's dew,
...wild flowers by Helios kissed,
Goldenrod and sun's first rays,
...embraced in nature's tryst.

Clear flowing stream, majestic oak,
...stands guard, lone sentinel,
Over fauna; blooming flora,
...rainbowed 'cross the dell.

Upon the winds, floats butterfly,
...on silken angel wing,
Dancing to day's birthing rays,
...to warmth of newday's bring.

Restricted by no earthen bind,
...soars golden butterfly,
For butterflies, need never cry,
...as soar into dawn's sky.

Mike~

First you write the night
Then you spread the yawn of dawning
In shades of golden light
Rising softly across the morning

What a LOVELY feeling this piece leaves with the reader.

Such tender images and thoughts within your poem. You always seem to find new ways of saying just what your reader longs to hear. Thank you for this beauty.
