This recited poem is fairly small and
hopefully won't take to long to load... just be patient..
open another window and do
something but it will load.
Turn Up Your Volume

The Echo in the Night

Its quiet now…
And though these searing dreams have stopped
I can still hear the echo of your heartbeat
I can still smell the sweetness of your perfume
Just as if you were here…
These dreams have no joy left
I can smell the memories
I can still taste your warm lips…
The day blurs by, empty but safe
Oh when did the dream end and the dreaming begin…?
I hate you in my night, in my bed, and there you wait,
You wait for me, to be alone, where you can come to me
Where you can, love me….
But you don’t belong there, cause your not there, not
the real you… just the memory
the tormenting memory…
But my day…your never in my day, not the warm you
Just the cold… the cold heart…  that has no love,
The heart that remembers no dream, no us, no memories
and yet you come… into my night, again
how can the dream remain and the love be dead,
how can I make sense of no sense, this chaos of heart,
of wanting and denial…..
Yet the day is safe and numb, as you fade,
To an echo in the night,
As you fade, for a time…..

Love is my religion, I believe in nothing else.
To find that inspiration, live that inner vision.

This is way cool, Parker! I think it is my favorite of those you have done this way. Very nice writing, and the reading only makes it better.

Nice recital Parker! You captured the mood of this sad but beautiful work so very well...very enjoyable my friend!!

I thought I saw this on "Women's TV"??

Just in case...I'll add it it to my Library. Such poetry, puts me in a whirwind.

The echo never seems to fade...
at least it feels that way!
