Within the River's Flow I remember how smooth the words seemed to flow from her ruby lips. Nice sweet words like "I Love you" and "Give me a kiss." You never had to say it twice. Even before the words were thru I gave you one of a billion kisses I saved just for you. I held you close and I promised you so much. I wanted a lifetime to feel your warm touch. What is time in a river where love flows? When you were mine my love lived to overflow. Now the words from your lips seem to hesitate. A river that no longer flows seems to be my fate. And I wonder if my love can still continue to grow without those precious words within the rivers flow. Jameslee@February18,2001 Preciousnicesweetwords. Beautiful said. Those magic words are very hard to say, as love matures. A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |
