A perfect husband I am not.
A perfect husband I can not be.
A perfect man I may try to be,
But this also can not be.
What one may want?
is hard to see,
That they may never get to be.
As hard as I tried,
As good as I am, As good as I try to be,
It is still only second best.
I may never be,
What you want me to BE.
I just hope you can forgive me.
I say and make this,
A promise to thee,
From this day forth, to the ends of time,
I will always do my best.
I will nolonger be in denial.
I will be your friend and lover,
Husband and man,
I will stand with you,
Until there is no place to stand.
The end may be near,
But with all our love,
We can rebuild the trust.
We will be whole and complete.
Just one request,
When you look into my eyes,
Dont look at the hurt.
Dont look for an escape,
Look at the changes we can make.
Look for the good and the Love.
Look deep into my soul and you will know,
My love for you is true,
This I Promise to You.
