An ache emits from deep within The walls of protection are very thin Unable to silence those who criticize Their voices seem to always rise Far above the loving crowd Every day they grow more loud Searching for a sign of weakness Praying still upon my meekness They gather strength against the mob Causing my heart once more to sob I wish they would just go away Giving me peace for just one day Haven’t I suffered enough pain Their words have left many a stain Leaving behind a cloak of doubt Making me want to scream and shout I struggle with all my might Trying so hard to win this fight The sword of righteousness at hand Transports me to a distant land One where fear no longer lingers Forgiveness rests in God’s fingers All I have to do is simply ask And He will help me remove the mask The time has come for me to be The woman that the mirror sees I know she is there inside Fear has caused her spirit to hide Her essence gleams in my eye Making wishes on a starry sky As courage builds a sturdy bridge Guiding me past this rocky ridge God has granted me a vision Of the purpose of my mission Allowing me to comprehend Reaping countless dividends His grace has lifted me up After I drank from defeat’s bitter cup Thanks to His divine love I am able to rise above Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

LoneWolf~ 'The time has come for me to be The woman that the mirror sees' Indeed ... one of beauty and strength ... the one that others see ... the sweet reflection of the lady within~ *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
