Wish You Were Here. At the end of the rainbow I long To reach to the other end Where once I did belong Wish you were here my childhood Alone in the schoolyard No friend to comfort me Until you came along Wish you were here my chilhood friend In the darkness of the night Eerie sounds of owls and crickets Your presence my dear father Wish you were here in my hour of need Bruised and weary tears of childhood days Shirt torn to shreads, dirt all over Angry you were not, you held me with pride Wish you were here my dear mother My stars have fallen, my rainbow is no more The school yard, my childhood friend, And scary nights are only memories My clothes are clean, and not torn However, my heart is but shreads Knowing that you can't be near Oh I wish you were all here In my solitude I am lost For words I need to hear Whispers of love, care so dear.
