On Raven’s Wings
Virginia Salter

as sleep begins to pull me down
to a crashing blow
I teeter on the edge

the blackness of the room
beyond computer’s glow
echos scratchy sounds

a faint image
looks at me,
as she steps into the night

she watches
a spy on raven’s wings

Okay........I'm sleeping with the light on now. *smiling* Nice write, VAS!

The greatest part of a writer's time is spent in reading, in order to write; a man will turn over half a library to make one book.

Ok Virginia! If you say so...you got me scared now....I'd have to go and sleep in front of the TV or something like that! thought provoking!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.
