There She Blows |

There she blows Swallowed by a whale so to speak Outlook and outcome sort of bleak. Consumed by the size of the whale Its view and guise a sorry tail. No spark no lark this inner tomb Smells of nothing but rot and gloom. My feet stuck in the clot of mire I, listless without desire. I miss the stars I miss the green I miss the moon its velvet sheen. I miss the waters of the sea. I miss the goal I set to be. I mark my time detest the dark My only light the ingest spark Feeding in depths where grows but woes Up for a breath and then she blows. Perhaps one day I'll clear the hole And shear this vizier of my soul. |

Excellent Seymour! I never envisioned you as a Jonah but hey he came back! I have to say this is one of the darker ones I have ever read of yours but it's written with such beauty...take care ethome The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |

SY, you have a way with words in that even darkness is beautiful. It's not the place to be but it's the place you are. I'm reminded of "bloom where you're planted" write on Kethry |
