Try to smile back at the sun when you wake up, as hard as it may be, it may be your last. *************and on parenting......here's a few I try to remember... A child can never be hugged "too" much. A small hand on the back of your neck as you sleep is worth all the stiffness the next day. Don't expect your children to jump off that rope swing unless you go first! (from true experience) lol Always be grateful for dirty "happy" kids, rather than clean sad ones. and most important of all........ When they run in the house to show you a new discovery.. ( a rock, a caterpillar, the rainbow of oil in the driveway).....don't sigh with exasperation..... after all.. You brought them into this world, the least you can do is let them "show" it to you. (can't take credit for that one, but it's my favorite taken from readers digest) more secrets to come!!!!!!!!!!!>>>>> (still waiting for the rest of your trees Bill! (grin).... |

So true, they are precious gifts given to us and we have to take the responsibilty seriously....there is some excellent lines in this one and I personally appreciated them! The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |
