Bound for Heaven. Give of yourself to those who've hurt you Offer an olive branch to your neighbour Set free a white dove holding the hand of the enemy Appreciate other humans with love and honour Cast away hatred to the depths of the unknown Let the winds of love allow you to sail In oceans where only goodwill prevail And colours of rainbows forever shine ~~Daniel J D~~ Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) |

Daniel, this is going into my library...I certainly hope you don't mind... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Daniel* You have said in so few lines what it has taken me...and will take many...years and years to see...I never realized that once I let the past go I also took back the power that I had given those that hurt me, because if I had I would have done it LONG ago...this is outstanding~ < !signature--> The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched ---- they must be felt with the heart~ *??* [This message has been edited by Butterflies_dont_cry (edited 11-30-2000).] |

Butterflies, Heaven is a real long way for many people. We have the opportunity here on earth to get there. The answer is simply love and forgiveness. I am so glad you enjoyed this short poem. Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) |

I was talking to my friend Maria the other day and she was glowing and she told me she was feeling so much better after deciding to forgive her ex and stop blaming everything on him...James |

I've been holding a grudge or two lately... For no really good reasons. As is the case with all grudges, I suppose. It was the title that drew me into this poem, but it was not what I was expecting. A beautifully written piece, Daniel. To be honest, it caught me a little off guard. Thank you... You brought a little more focus and a little more colour to the jaded images I've been seeing lately. Trew, Heaven is for all of us, everyone on earth has a place there. We have to work for it though. I know it is not easy, but we can make a difference to many people's lives and ours by offering that olive branch. Thank you for your wonderful words. Cheers Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) |
