(Guess I have a ways before I can get too excited) The clock on my desk says 11:13 A rose stands beside it, the prettiest I’ve seen I know it smells wonderful although I can’t tell, For currently my nose won’t allow me to smell. It’s 17 minutes past 11 right now I’m thinking of ways to express to you how Hard and how sudden I’ve fallen for you But black ink on white paper just won’t quite do. It’s been 10 minutes since I started this poem I picture your face as I sit here alone But loneliness doesn’t sit with me tonight Cuz Bernie the Brown Bear is holding me tight Just kidding, ol’ Bernie is there on the bed He’s waiting for me to go rest my head But I can’t get thoughts of you out of my mind So Bernie must wait as I try to find The words to explain what has happened to me Why comfort is mine, not uncertainty Why this rose has bloomed at just the right time Why I’m just so happy at 11:39 One more minute ticked by now it’s 20 ‘til 12 If you have some more time please allow me to delve A little bit more into my feelings for you And tell you I love everything that you do This writing began 34 minutes ago I hope I’ve accomplished in letting you know That no matter what time…..6 o’clock, 3 a.m. I’m dreaming of you and the love that we’re in. |
