Even in the darkest night When shadows grow and fears run wild And pains are felt in every heart God hears his sparrows fall. He knows your every aching need He knows you weep where none can see As you show the world such bravery God sees his sparrows fall And when comes the day its over And all your battles lost He will hold you in His warm embrace When HE calls His sparrows home. |

Paula, God does indeed see the sparrow's fall and he shows it to gifted people that the world may also know...Thank you for this gift. Kethry Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant - Thoreau |

Normally if a poem is about God, I dont take any notice,(being completely non-religious) but I did find this a beautiful piece. As Love Bug said this does offer support and reassurance that god will be there. I do have one small comment though, why do the battles have to be lost, when they can be either "won" or "done". I personally prefer done because then it doesnt matter whether you succeed or fail, God is always there. I guess I am just uncomfortable withe the assumption of failure. I stress I really do not class myself "qualified" to comment given the subject matter, but I thought that maybe my comments would be helpful? If not, feel free to ignore me! Kevin. |

Pauls, You've touched me deeply with this poem. It is an absolutely exquisite piece. I was so taken by the title and then found the entire poem to be enchabting, and very warming to the soul. Thank you so much for your thoughts. I appreciate this so much liz |

Paula~ This is such a touching piece for Liz. Your heart has reached out and touched us all. I DO believe that He is there to take His sparrow into the nest of eternal life. How comfortingly beautiful this piece is felt. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Beautiful writing and sentiments here. LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
