In A Way

Watch the nocturne of the night
Dignify the end of day.
Sweeping fractures of bright light
Turning gold to silver grey.

Savor colored drifting hues
Weeping down horizons sky
Blending into deeper lieu
Soothing blue into the eye.

Watch the magic shifting scene
Put to sleep the awesome splay
Look upon the philistine
Time to death another day.

Feel the sorrow of its gone
Melancholy of its past
Yielding life so new be born
Giving up its time of last.

Are not we all, in our own way
As beautiful as end of day?

What a lovely, exquisite way to bring a closing to a day, a time, and to feel comfort in coming sleep...

thank you Sy...

Well .. YOU ARE baby
and so is this gift of poetry
Sy this is so awesome
You talent for penning "subtle" imagery is
showcased here to perfection...
you have wrapped sundowns twilight in your other gift of cadence and rhyme
and tied it up with your gift of unique and way cool vocabulary choices ...
and of course the bow of wisdom at the end...

"Sweeping fractures of bright light
Turning gold to silver grey."

this is what I mean by subtle imagery
yet it has so much impact
I would have used 4-5 adjectives and at least
8-10 words per line in trying to describe that vision you just did
(yeah yeah, I know I'm long winded)   lol

"Dignify the end of day."

and that is the COOLEST line I will read today Im sure.

later-see ya on the dark side of the moon-gator

me

Some people find subtlety in strangers
if you find anything~let me in
Your eyes~you see everything
my eyes~I see it all together now~and I know

Seymour~

'Are not we all, in our own way
As beautiful as end of day?'

This is, without a doubt, the loveliest thought I'll envision this day.
