Winter The familiar chill Swirling in the frosty air Chilling to the bone As delicate snow flakes fall From gray clouded skies above. Snowman He stands tall and proud His black coal eyes staring out Through the falling snow Snowflakes Delicate snowflakes Unique embroidered designs Their own soft beauty Winter’s Chill Bitter howling winds Sweeping through frozen bare trees Chilling with it’s touch [This message has been edited by rosepetals25 (edited 11-26-2000).] |

You've expressed the beauty of winter very eloquently in these haikus. I enjoyed them all. Nicely done. Poeminister "...no single sound too rude upon thy slumber shall intrude, Our thoughts, our souls- O God above! In every deed shall mingle, love." -Poe |

RosePetals~ Your lead-off Tanka was just excellent ! Each Haiku so well done. What a lovely treat. Your flair for this form is wonderful. I so enjoyed these. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
