As time flies by I still hold dear all those miraculous moments I felt you moving, kicking, possibly laughing... It's almost over Yet, a brand new start End to one Beginning another. You will be fresh when I hold you again I've cradled you in my womb 8 months, it went so fast. And you grew Because of me, you grew... Because of God You are heaven sent. And I know your potential Before you even know What potential is. It's just going so fast... Time It keeps flying Passing me by, it seems Yet stalling At just the right moments In my memories. What will I do If time flies by so quickly After you arrive? I will have my memories to go back to And I can pause and rewind Slow it down or replay All of the wonderful moments In my mind. But before you enter this world And find it harsh and cruel Find it wonderful and full of adventure... Before you turn to me with tears For the boy that broke your heart The school trip you can't go on Because I couldn't afford it... And before you start to learn Your abc's Eat your first candy bar Have your first real good cry.... Promise me, If only one thing.... That you won't let time fly by too fast And you will take your time Growing up... Because, neither you NOR I will want to miss all of the special moments That you have graced this wonderful earth... *Yeah, I know it's choppy... but I tried It's been a while since I've written anything... I think my brain (as well as my fingers) are rusty. Be gentle, I'm fragile! hehehe * "It was my love that did us both to death. " -Sylvia Plath |

It's perfect...and happy birthday to you...and this is perfect description of the beginning of a perfect love affair...you know? I miss feeling like that...I felt like the eighth wonder of the world...I envy you, as I remember. Thank you. |

You may feel that it's choppy, however, it's from the heart and full of a mother's love .. a love that can't be totally explained but a love that everyone realizes is the strongest love in the world......just absolutely wonderful...I have only one child .... a daughter......take care.....ethome |

Hi SorrowsMystress, This is what your heart is saying and the heart speaks elegantly every time friend when speaking of love for someone, I am happy for you, I have two daughters, and have enjoyed every minute having them, they are my best friends and I am so very thankful for that, wonderful read here, very much enjoyed. I didn't think this was choppy at all. It's a beautiful piece filled with the love you have for your daughter and she will treasure this someday. You will both be in my prayers. Elizabeth |
