They tell the tale
Of the day she was born
How a unicorn danced
On the Keeps meadow green

And they say it was written
In the stars up above
That her love would come riding
Riding with the morning sun

And how from the East
A warrior brave and true
Would by love and loves luck
Conquer Unicorns Keep

All her life she'd been told
That this was her fate
Could this be the one
The stars had foretold?

Her hand on the gate
His horse all adance
He calls to her lonely heart
Open the Keep

Her eyes to the East
Her eyes on his face
His voice on her skin
Welcome me in

Slowly she lifts
The bar to the gate
She opens the Keep
To this warriors fate

He knees his horse forward
And now she sees
Its not just a horse
But a unicorn...

Horn broken and hidden
By his flowing black mane
And she rushes to touch him
And he kneels to her

The warrior dismounts
And hands the reins to the Lady
He looks in her eyes
And whispers to her

You know what to do
You know your fate
Make us whole make us one
Now you've opened the gate

Paula, see your knights are from the old school, you want a maiden rescued, or a dragon turned into cat meat, they're the ones. All mine seem to do is behave like clowns. Love this new line of yours love, it's really great story. And I what more! If you promise to keep me supplied with romatic knights, I'll keep rolling out the clown princes. Deal?
Take care

You sure do know how to weave a fantasy and make it seem real.  I always did believe in Unicorns anyway.  Very lovely read and so well thought out.
