her heart speaks
her pen writes
the words speak

they are a refuge from the world
a haven for her spirit
a place to release herself
to give herself
          to share herself
                    to know herself

she knows the power of words
the things that they can do
the joys that can be given
the stories given
          the songs given
                    the life given

and so, with pen in gentle hand
she begins once more today
and again the word speaks
the mind speaks
          the soul speaks
                    the life speaks

Like a dancing pixie, she trips in merrily,
with wandlike pen scatters pixie's dust
leaving us to grasp with child-like trust
the images left behind, by Janet-Marie...

she is a remarkable poet-person-with-a-later-'gator-style...

It fills the heart with ecstacy
The poet pen of Janet Marie
So smoothly do emotions flow
Across the screen they swiftly go
The magic pen contains the view
From the eye of one we thought we knew
So sweet, so dear, yet life is taught
From depths of sentiment and thought
Spiced with exuberance galore
WE daily watch and beg for more
And now the Curator has placed
A poetry portrait on the face
WEll done, Sven

Oh, this is so true of our wonderful JM ... she writes from the soul, and such beautiful words flow so vividly from her pen. She has an incredible talent for speaking her emotions. This is a wonderful tribute Sven, and such a beautiful poet you speak of so eloquently.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Yup you know your poets alright.  This speaks so perfectly of her and believe me, you didn't miss a thing....well, maybe her "SQUEAKY" morning voice but that is kind of hard to tell in her poems and replies now isn't it.  Your verses in dedication to the wonderful poets here at Passions is much inspiring and I haven't read a one yet that you missed on.  You have a good feel for the poets and there heart and you pen it masterfully.  I applaud you once again sir.

NO one deserves this more than our own Janet Marie.  Wonderful words, Sven.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid the poem can't be written to due all the justice to JanetMarie she deserves but you came very close, Sven.

sven, this thought came to me the other day..usually we write poetry so that people get to know about us and that our own feelings and thoughts take center stage....

just want to say that it takes an exceptional poet who is willing not to bask in the limelight, who is willing to take a step back and give others their due...

Sven, this Passions Gallery is sooooo special and i appreciate your efforts

she knows the power of words

That's the line that stuck out at me.  You're right, Sven... she does know the power of words.  Although lately, she's been doubting them, deeper on the inside she does understand and know that words have power, poetry has power, and it's a power that's well at her command...

She really is something, that girl... a shame I haven't read this before.

You wrote it well, Sven.  Kudos.
