flower girl, flower girl
tell me this day
what blooms have you
to fill my love's bouquet?
flower girl, flower girl
give me the words
help me to sing
the sweetest songs e'er heard

flower girl, in your songs
are words of love
sung by your heart
like the angels above
flower girl, in my soul
sow in the seed
help me to grow
the love that my heart needs

flower girl, flower girl
in your heart's field
bloom the flowers
that help our hearts heal
flower girl, flower girl
thank you again
for growing a love
that will last till the end

Sven~
I could hug you for this one !

You just painted the prettiest
poet-trait in the gallery.
She's just the bestest flower-child I know.

She's gonna LOVE it !

Thank you so much ...
and this was a precious sing-songy rhyme !

A vase of wisdom fills you up
a red rose of love will be your buttercup
and the fern of words perfectly surround
arranged for you by the flower girl you found

Thank you, Sven, for seeing me in flowers..and for capturing the girl in me.
I am very honored by your words.

You will find no thorns in her bouquet that is for sure.  Wonderful tribute to our  delicate flower girl.

Blooming with words -
Bright colors abound -
Martie's our Blossom
So rare to be found

A precious posie
Garlands she does wear
Flowery printed blouses
and round in her hair

Yet you flower poet
Have painted her well
And I think she deserves
All because she's so 'swell'

this is a very appropriate poem, Sven.  The chosen flow had a nice dactylic feel... fluid and smooth, just like Martie's own poetry and the images she herself conjures.

She who would gather flowers, lift a single one before herself and see it for every detail, every line, every shade that the rest of us would simply overlook... that's her, alright...
