Star Flight Love Karen Torbiak 2000 I lay in contented serenity letting the peacefulness of this mountain glade wash over me The scene is such to delight the senses thus feeding the spirit as I rest from the hurts of a cruel world There are splashes of color from the myriad of wildflowers now humming with the busy work of bees The trees are tall and stately casting the coolness of shade for me as I lay my head back on a tree trunk The majestic peaks of the mountains drawing the eye skyward and setting the spirit to questing inner serenity There is a happy gurgling of a fast flowing brook running down the mountain to a river far below Within the view of my eyes is a glorious waterfall with icy water cascading over it making beautiful rainbows of light The birds are singing out with the joy of life to one another and my spirit feels they have drawn me into their joy This is my favorite place to rest from the harsh realities of the world where I witness daily the hurts given earth and man alike I close my eyes that I may release my spirit and wrap it in a fantasy made just for me The weaving of the dream fills me as I drift into a vision only I can see where love finds me Opening my eyes I find I am drawn towards the waterfall knowing that someone is calling me from a distance Following the instincts of my soul I go to the waterfall and without a thought walk into it The icy freshness of it makes my body tingle as every nerve comes alive to receive that given Passing through the waterfall there is no surprise as I enter another world on the other side It is night here in this beautiful place with the sky lit with the magnificence of the stars Not being able to draw my eyes from their brilliance I realize that none of the patterns of this sky are familiar They seem to beckon me with unearthly beauty that I may sore among them and learn their hidden secrets From the corner of my eyes I notice a movement that takes me away from the wonders above me There walking towards me is a man with a gentle smile of love on his face which reflects handsome in the starlight My heart jumps in my chest for though in life I know not this man still to my soul he has been known for all time He smiles with joy as he sees reflected in my eyes the knowledge that I too know him and have no fear Opening his arms to me I am wrapped in a love that fills me with the magic of love only two souls brought together as one can share Bending to me his lips touch mine first with gentleness quickly turning to a passionate possession which leaves me breathless Holding me very close he takes flight to the very stars which have called out to me Filled with love and joy I become light as I sore among the brilliance of the stars with the man I love We share awed reverence as we explore and fill our spirits with the sights only had among the stars My love pulls me closer as we pass the cold emptiness of a black hole that leaves me shivering We share the warmth of a sun as parts erupt with giant steams of flame shooting far above it’s surface We marvel together as we feel the music sang among the stars whose beginning is not known We follow the brilliant tail of a comet out racing it as it streaks across unfamiliar star systems Such a flight through the stars has never been known by man as love sets vision to reality Returning he kisses me with great tenderness and a promise that we will yet share many such Star Flights I open my eyes to the serenity of the mountains feeling in my heart there is one to share the stars with me Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. http://www.voy.com/7622/ http://www.powerpoems.com |

I open my eyes to the serenity of the mountains feeling in my heart there is one to share the stars with me too long a poem to post all that I enjoyed about it..your ending says it all...Karen *softsmiles* ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II |
