Running, Coursing
Virginia Salter

Running through my mind.
Coursing through my thoughts
“Not gonna do it!  Wouldn’t be prudent!”
...and this obsession with eating broccoli.
Where’s it all coming from?
Somewhere behind the bushes?  The Bushes?
Sneaking up like a rabbit?
Or is it someone trying to catch a rabbit, making a noise like a carrot?
I like carrots with my broccoli,
chicken, too.  How about you?
Is this what January’s going to be like?
Or maybe the next 4 years?
Or will “W” come up with his own idiosyncracies to haunt me, all of us?
Jelly bellies gone now, peanuts, cigars.
What will be the new appendage to our government’s social entity?
It’s coming, right?
Get ready.
How about Texas steaks on an electric barbecue served on a tailgate of a big F-350?
Any wagers on what’s comin’?

Who knows, VAS?  "Dubya" is capable of anything, or is it nothing?  I've been waiting for someone to start this thread.  Thanks VAS.  Hope there is more.  (Could be even more fun in a couple of the other forums.)

Testing the ability to post, since there now is a #12.  Can this be moved to 12?
