Hello again, I'm re-posting my newest poem, ENDLESS DEVOTION for all to read, please let me know what you all think of my piece. I'm still having doubts on whether to submit it to passions or not. ENDLESS DEVOTION As the darkness impales me I am trapped in images of you. These memories, so rich in light and contrast fail to appear in color. They only come to me in black and white. They project times when the sun beat hot upon your soften hair, and your smile brought fourth the gentle summers breeze. And moments when life became most painful, And my heart would lie still in the cold winter's eve. I lie next to you now, wondering what your immortal thoughts carry in your heart, in your soul. Do they see joys of summers past? Do they reflect pain of winter's day? I see, only in my dreams and thoughts memories that have brought me more joy then the gentle breath that escapes my forever collapsing chest. I have loved you from moments of first sight, and in moments when I was blind to the passion you so generously bestowed me.I will try my damndest to forever cherish the words of love that so romantically seep from your voice to my lonely ears. Until death becomes me, and your name is the last breath that passes through my lips, in memory, and in present, I am forever devoted to you, my love. Well...there it is, let me know if you all think it is worthy for submition. ~*~Chris19~*~ ~*~Time is a wheel in constant motion, always rolling us along. Tell me who wants to look back on their youth and wonder where those years have gone?~*~(Leann Womack) |
