...I am so stressed and tired, feeling undone tonight. Even the moon looks ugly reflected against the starlight. Sometimes I wonder if anything will ever be right. It's times like this I lose all sight. There's a long, brambly road stretching to the sky. Tears and sweat in code, hunger and wondering why. My clothes keep falling apart, my dreams make me sigh. I just want to rest, but I don't want to die. It's times like this I lose my way. It's times like this I long to feel the day. It's times like this I forget how to play. It's times like these that make me wonder why I didn't stay. I'd like to rest with you. I want to close my eyes and see just blue. I want to attest to you I love you. Everything feels new. I'd like to sleep by your side. In your ear I'd like to confide The reasons why I took this ride To be here tonight, listening to the tide of your heart and your arms, your lips and your eyes. (i can imagine your hair against my chest i don't want to think of the clock, or leaving this nest. tonight with you i just wanna rest. tomorrow is just another test) the coastline. the sunshine. the feel fine. the good line. the okay. the nice day. no mistake. no heartbreak. I'd like to rest with you. I won't struggle the whole night through. I'd like to rest with you. I just wanna see the coolest blue. |

bsquirrel, Not only am I impressed by the constant rhyme in this piece.... but also by your expression . It pulled me into a feeling of deep sorrow... I felt as though I were this person.......reaching out for something...anything. Even with the sadness of this piece... I really enjoyed the read, Great Job! ~Sheri "The things that come to those that wait may be the things left by those who got there first" |
