AfterMathing I imagine, you, too, have been there done that the very few who haven't… will still I hold all in perspective and get reflective ~ was the aftermath the projected? hindsight is glorious gets downright uproarious thinking "if I could do it again, what would I change and when?" taking up the insight of one who came completely undone listened to hormones instead of sense now residing in recompense aftermathing pickup going through motion in slow-mo-time arguing now with only self the mind is a battlefield occupied with mines… the other boot has dropped plopped down into the mud and you wonder where did the good times go? relating, relating…. knowing it's not as bad; not like the survivors of the Holocaust… not like a mother whose child she's lost… not like the couple who watch as the cost of medical bills sweep them away… aftermathing… pickup cleanup brushup time making rotten right wrapping cotton tight 'round my arms for even alone one needs warm wisdom comes to those who have aftermathed… and have walked the path feeling alone where hundreds have gone on before them… resiliency sets in feeling like a new-worn skin a little taut perhaps a little fraught with tension or animated suspension won't want to repeat an aftermath but life is not quite like that… for there is an aftermath in birth and death even after paying taxes… and in this resiliency amidst the aftermathing moments I had to smile… because I needed that guile to go that extra mile… so I could take that road that will lead me on to good whiles and the trip? the trip starts now 01.06.01 |

Wisdom does indeed come to us through aftermath... We're far too busy in midst of the throes to figure out what we've learned - We've plenty of time for reflection later... Well done, Sun... |

Oh my dear friend...there is so much wisdom found here in your words. Yes, we have all AfterMathed and what can we do after the storm but gather up the pieces and begin again? Great write |

Would they could all be afterglows and no aftermaths - still - your strength in face of aftermaths shines - just one more reason why I enjoy reading your wonderful words. |

Wonderful piece of wisdom shown here as you have seen the others say. As long as the lessons are tossed to the side and something was learned then it is a lesson well worth it. Reflection on the other hand can hold either the good or the bad depending which mirror we choose to look at. |
