In the land of milk & honey
yes, the home of the "free"
I pull "the card" on you
you pull "the card" on me
while factions rise up
everywhere
but we're too blind
to see
we stand upon a sinking
ship & die for our beliefs

Where there is hope and desire in the hearts there is the chance of staying afloat.  Wonderful little verse from you with much said and done so powerfully at that.

Tier,
I particularly like "I pull the card on you you pull the card on me."

Well said in short verse too. IWIHWT.

Mark, Suthern, & Kethry, Thank you for commenting. I thought this poem wouldn't go over to well, (laughing), but that's ok. I wrote it this morning listening to the news. Needless to say that it was beginning to bug me...

*smiles*
