Pacific I have a secret stash of time of value only to me, a bank of imagery engraved into interiors, framed in mortal fragility. Flashes have been captured within a core of light - with all that is true. Someday, I’ll restore them, faded, but still within view. From hills, golden in God’s hands to fallow trees of winter reminders of life & death’s reality, while the ocean’s siren-song ceaselessly calls to me. A tiny finger of boundless trust held in mother’s hand - walked a pier over the sea when he was only two, locked into memory. Wellspring of harmony, my fair, untroubled girl, with vibrato tones softly sung, the ever watchful yet always playful one. Green hues transcending the clarity of beryl, a quintessential Celtic soul, my Pacific sends serenity in waves that ever roll. Learning to live with the ache of love’s separation, the alienation undermines, stretches across and around the distance it entwines. Other moments embraced so integral to self, carried innate within hold them and in return create the cycle again. © 2001 Corinne Bailey [This message has been edited by Corinne (edited 01-05-2001).] |

All these flashes captured are stored in a core of light of all that is true. Someday, I’ll restore them, faded but still within my view I agree this is excellent poetry *s ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II |

I have a secret stash of time meaningful to me, a bank of imagery engraved into interiors framed in mortal fragility. All these flashes captured are stored in a core of light of all that is true. Someday, I’ll restore them, faded but still within my view. Corinnee, as always wonderfully written, the first two verses especially spoke to me. It's in your eyes a fire that's wild and glorious Unhibited, unfinished in everything I do Let the morning rise like our hearts desire" whipping boy |

Darlin' - This really brings images into view. I can see your daughter holding your hand as you stand on the pier. What a lovely picture it must have made. |
