The Shores of Alone

Though words of love would mean so much
and bedroom roses to adorn
yet silence greets me with his touch
to leave me feeling full forlorn.

Hypothesis of reasons why
bizarre discussions do not change
I'm still ignored and hung to dry
wishing my life could re-arrange.

When thoughts so good cannot translate
into his honest efforts true
I feel the love slowly abate
and know I must soon say adieu.
