Passion For The Dance I see your sandals fly from off your silken feet As you move in circles about the crowded street I figure that angels must have you in their trance As your soul releases with passion for the dance Poetry in motion while arms sway to embrace As joy for this moment is seen within your face Each sparkle of your eye reflects a lover's glance As onlookers embark with passion for the dance A street as your dance floor brings traffic to a still As people gather 'round to partake in the thrill All heartaches disappear with newly found romance As inner music plays with passion for the dance City dwellers regret their business spent above As looking down below in hopes of finding love An audience caught up in realms of circumstance As center stage explodes with passion for the dance Rhythmic steps move lightly like leaves upon the wall As floating down from Heav'n melodiously fall You twirl a pirouette with perfect elegance As waltzing in union with passion for the dance I see your sandals fly from off your silken feet As you move in circles about the crowded street I figure that angels must have you in their trance As we joined together with passion for the dance -Robert E. Now this is one that I wish I had written. My friend, this one is beautiful from the title on down and the flow was superb. I loved the two line rhyme scheme also. I applaud you on this one. ~*~ Mark ~*~ You inspired me my friend with all your dance poetry and I thought that I might join you with this one.... All we need now is a few dance partners and then we can have a real hoe-down. Thank you for your comments and I do look forward to reading more of your poetry in SJ whenever you get a chance. God Bless and a Happy New Year to You, Bob <>< |

~*~ Tier ~*~ I do appreciate your smile and that you loved the feel and mood of my poetry. I hope you take a little time to slip in a little jig along your life's way.... and smiles back to You my friend, Bob <>< ~*~ Sunshine ~*~ Like you, I too admire the innocence felt in the presence of a child dancing... I do hope that we never grow to old to let our hair down and once again become as little children. Bob <>< Whoops.... Sorry that I had to correct a spelling error. Angles needed to be angels. |

~*~ Cerenity ~*~ Thanks a bunch for taking the time to check me out... I do appreciate that. Hey, what's keeping ya.... just kick off your shoes, let down your hair and go for it.... (though it is nice) you don't even need a partner just the passion. Bob <>< ~*~ Victoria ~*~ You must be talking about that Salsa Beat.... Hey, don't those Latin dancers express extreem passion when they dance? I guess that is why I married my Latin Lover. Well, one of the reasons. Bob <>< |

~*~ Martie ~*~ I was truly touched by her dancing also and I believe that she could dance anywhere because she is totally lost in it. I just joined in at the end to tie the poem together.... but in reality she needs no partner. I am glad that I could bring a bit of her dance alive for you to enjoy. Bob <>< ~*~ Startime ~*~ Yes, I also believe that there is a Father who looks away from our adult faults and insecurities and lifts the little child in each one of us. I believe that we can be child like in our dance before the One who loves us most of all and when we two move within each other's arms we are both embraced with a great-great Love. Bob <>< |

LightHouseBob~ I have danced the dance of the Cherokee, the dance of Gypsies, the dance of Wood Nymphs ... this is a wonderful write of the abandonment of earthly attachment and dancing with passionate soul. Oh, I can relate. Wonderfully done. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

~*~ Marge ~*~ Like a feather floating upon a gentle wind, She's dancing in spirit in the arms of her Friend. Knowing your spirit, I have know doubts that you understood. Many Christians today have accepted worship dance as part of their spiritual offerings unto God. Like with the Indian dance, their dance expresses the emotions that fill their soul. I have not danced in the Spirit, but it appears to be a wonderful gift from the Lord. Bob <>< |
