I am quite fond of this one, guys. I hope you like it. * * * LET IT BURN Let your mind wander, look beyond the shadows, Focus on the skyline, read the silhouettes, You deepest desires are a picture of tommorow, All of your darkest fears are just a vestige of regret. Dont let shallow water limit your perception, Heed the new horizon, muster it to fast, The moments of your yesterdays are in the wake behind you, You cant assess the future if you're living in the past. If you are committed to a life of understanding, Then theres no agenda for vengeanace in your life, Sharpen all your senses, face the opposition, You can overcome with fortitude and mental might. And it's Wo-oh oh oh! It seems like such a long way to go! as obstacles get bigger, prevailing winds grow stronger, and the fire continues to grow.. LOVE IS GOD, LOVE IS WAR, LOVE IS WHAT YOUR LIFE IS FOR. |

As Kahlil Gibran once said ... "We are more concerned with the future than the past for that is where we plan to spend the rest of our lives." This one of yours seems to fit those words and they do it wonderfully. Tremendous write again. I really enjoyed the message in this one along with the cadence of it. |

Yes I have read it and not only that but I OWN it. I have a copy of the first edition in it's boxed library case and I go back quite frequently to it. It is definitely a must for anyone that loves poetry and inspiration. I am elated to see another of his fans in here. |

EagleScorpion~ I can see why you'd be fond of this piece - so am I. Seems there's a gathering of Kahlil Gibran fans here. Count me in ! Of course, Mark knew that ! (And I'd give him a *smiley*, but I'm tired of seeing that Santa cap !) Wonderful writing, EagleScorpion. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
