I need your help Passions Poets, please help with the voting between two poems of Mark B's < !signature-->To Make A Choice To make a choice is what you all want me to do And finally now you've decided it's between these two Arizona's Beauty and Livingroom Stream a fabulous pair Well excuse me team please while I take the chair I've said from the very beginning that I couldn't do it But you've said Marsha this is the time to do your bit Would you ask me to chose between two works of art And don't say well any choice would be at least a start I could no more choose any one of these from another Than I could have turned any of my sisters into a brother Rodin's The Kiss, was beautiful and these are on a par For me to chose is reminiscent of using an iron bar To smash Michelangelo's David, to break a piece off It's very well for every one of you to laugh and scoff I cannot do this thing it is far too hard a task for me You might as well ask me to dive into the freezing sea This isn't a choice I am qualified to try to make here How many times can I reiterate, do I make myself clear I cannot chose and now I simply refuse to do this anymore It's not my decision as I've said countless times before Why can't they both be best, I've seen that done I know What does it matter they can both be on permamnent show Well, tell me why that can't be the answer to this impasse That would at least bring some peace at last to all of us My team say that they will accept a higher authority here So I'm asking Passions Poets to keep my conscience clear Please vote for whichever of these poems you'd rather win And this in my eyes will expidite my dreadful indicision If you vote it will help me out of a rather tricky spot And this will leave me their various ghastly deaths to plot So Passions Poets the choice is Livingroom Stream Or Arizona'a Beauty and make my nightmare into a dream Thank you I shall owe you all Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning [This message has been edited by Marsha (edited 01-03-2001).] |

Gotta go with the majority, living room stream, although if I had my way they would be equal first, along with all his other writes. Still I'm biased cause I've seen his work over a year and it's always excellent. In fact his motto could be "IXL" which incidentally is the name of a fruit company in Australia, and would confirm the sweet nectar he pens. Marsha, I want to thank you and all of the MBOOPA's for all the smiles and moments you have all given me. There really is no need for a vote as I am just thankful that all of you have read my works and enjoyed them. That after all is what writing poetry is all about anyway. I write because it helps me to express myself and if in that someone finds it to their liking then I am honored and all of you have done more than your share in honoring me. I hope you know as they know that I am forever thankful for everyone of you. Please let all of them know for me and if they all want to have a different favorite then that is even better because no two people are the same and not everyone is expected to feel as the majority does. Thank you my dear friend and please pass love and hugs all around to all of the MBOOPA's for me. |

Kari love, thank you, I must admit that I cannnot choose, which of course is why I have dissention in the ranks. And if I'm to get any work out of these wretched slaves, I had to do this. Thanks kid, you know I appreciate it. Take care Mushy  Charisma love, thank you kindly, I've put a large poster on the wall to show them that votes coming in are being given fairly. Take care Mushy Kethry love, thank you so very much, I must agree, all of them are superb. But I promised that they could vote and I always keep my promises. (Although if I'd have know that these little wretches would drive me to distraction I would have shot them all.) Well never mind, I'll make them eat in the canteen that will be a penance most appropriate. Take care kid Slushy Mark my friend, as I said to Kethry, a promise is a promise, and since I do try to run this department in a fun way I do my best to make them enjoy themselves. I will pass all your comments on to these slaves, and no doubt it will result in many flutterings in the dove cote. Certainly on Daphnie and Sue's part in particular. well first of all Im pouting cuz neither of these two are my MOST favs of his ...but I have a hard time choosing as well ... its more like my top 10 ... like "Lays potato chips" ... I cant pick just one ... but if I must choose between these two ... I think I will pick Arizonia Beauty cause I know its Marks fav of the two. But as Mark said ... theres really no need for a vote ... just being honored is more than enough for any poet. later-cant pick just one-gators jm Oh and Mark...ya KNOW I really mean HOT CHIPS ... not Lays LOL |
